ABOUT Here’s the absolute truth about my involvement in photography.

   Around the time of my 6th birthday, my parents gave me an old Kodak Duaflex roll film camera, and the chance to play at being the family photographer.

   To cut a longer story slightly shorter, I’m still in the same job 36 years later.

   Of course, responsibilities have changed a little, and today I find myself being asked by advertising

  1. I’m a member of the UK Labour Party and I think UK business and society will be in a better place the sooner we get rid of the Coalition. But I’ll even work for Tories. Lib Dems? Evaluated strictly on a case-by-case basis!


  1. I’m the founder of the Fashion Thing networking site, and The Circle network for photographers.

  1. I studied Italian & Film Studies at  the University of Reading (that’s ‘redding’, if you’re not a subject of Her Britannic Majesty’s) and I gave Film History lectures for 2 years at Bromley College. More about that here.

  1. I worked in advertising for 10+ years as copywriter and art director, which means I wrote scripts for TV and radio commercials, and designed an awful lot of posters, brochures and direct mail. More about that here.

   And it’s this. Capture the moment, make each exposure count. Above all, give it a reason to be remembered. And enjoy yourself doing it.
